When the shine of the holidays has faded and our kids are left to make their own fun, things can get a little crazy. If you’re stuck on what to do with all the extra time that winter break leaves, we’ve got you covered! Our fun checklist will have your kids working hard to check all the boxes and they’ll be having a blast while they play, work, and explore.

Have a good, old fashioned, snowball fight!

Shovel or sweep a neighbor’s walkway

Build an indoor obstacle course

“Cook” with snow; snow cones, snow ice cream…

Build a fort, inside or outside

Offer to walk neighbor’s dogs or do other small jobs

Cut up old magazines to create works of art. Use a theme like “design the playground of your dreams”

Snow coloring with spray bottles of colored water

Make a bird feeder

Do a house project: clean out a closet or cabinet

Create a reading challenge

Celebrate something with a party: National Spaghetti Day, National Bubble Bath Day...so many things to celebrate!

Plan a “Noon” Year’s Eve party with a party that counts down to noon instead of midnight

Collect donations from neighbors and friends to take to a shelter

Choose a recipe to make together
