Our Preschool Classrooms and Enrichment Program

Youthland Academy

A Cincinnati Child Care Center

The Enrichment Center in Sharonville accepts children as young as six weeks to twelve years, who have been diagnosed with autism and other related neuro-developmental disorders such as ADD, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.  In addition, siblings in need of typical childcare may enroll in a typical classroom.

Youthland Enrichment Center provides children with constant and alert supervision in a safe environment.  The Enrichment Center is a secure, loving and warm place, designed to help each child learn and grow.  Each teacher is highly accredited and specifically trained to work with children who experience a variety of mental and behavioral challenges.
Many services are available, including Occupational Therapy, Speech, and Psychological Services.  Also, our center offers activities such as Yoga, Dance, and Karate to our students.

Our kitchen serves as the hub for the innovative and one of a kind specialized diet recommended for all children, especially those with Autism, ADD, ADHD and anxieties. The Enrichment menu is designed to exclude dyes, high fructose corn syrup, sugars and processed foods.  The menu complies with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and focuses on healthy selections including fresh, organic fruits & vegetables, beans, fresh oats, poultry, fish and grains delivered from local produce markets.  We serve fresh breakfast, lunch, and snack.

Youthland Enrichment Center is proud to offer a total, healthy balance of mind and body workshops, in addition to support groups and training sessions.  These programs are provided through professional sources and are available to our families, staff and the community.

Our highly trained staff teaches the Youthland curriculum and develops daily lesson plans for the classrooms.  Youthland Enrichment Center is a “learning center” that assists children in their realization of success and fulfillment through programs of positive self-image and social development.  When children experience the joy of learning, they feel loved and accepted.

Each child in our preschool classrooms and in the center is evaluated, and based on their specific needs, is recommended for a set amount of hours spent on OT and Speech.  The Administrator of the center coordinates the daily scheduling needs for the students. Each child has a personalized schedule, in conjunction with their daily classroom schedule, to include all on-site therapies.

The mission of this center and for all future enrichment centers is to improve the lives of our children and families through hands-on education, specialized therapies, nutrition and TLC.   Our goal is to create a community of support and intervention, and to provide a safe and loving place for children in need.

Occupational Therapy services will be provided by Cincinnati Occupational Therapy Institute (COTI). COTI has had a longstanding presence in the Cincinnati community by providing services to children with autism, sensory processing disorder and other related problems.  For 30 years they have been providing occupational therapy services in private clinics and within public, private and charter schools.

COTI has a commitment to sharing their knowledge and expertise with the local community, the occupational therapy community,
and other professionals.  Their partnership with Youthland Academy will provide the children attending the Enrichment Center and their families occupational therapy services conveniently in the child care setting.

All enrollment forms, including current immunization records, must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian.  A medical statement signed by your child's physician must be turned into the center within the first 30 days of enrollment.  A written feeding plan is a requirement for any child under the age of one.  Your child is evaluated by COTI using their evaluation procedures.  This will allow us to understand your child's needs and to ensure that there is carryover from the clinic to the classroom.
